Robert Antonioli (Italy), Emile Favre (France), Anton Palzer (Germany), e Jennifer Fiechter (Switzerland) are the new European champions for the Junior and Cadets category. Alessandra Cazzanelli won a silver medal in the cadet category.
On the fourth day of the championship in the Alpago area the youngsters races took place, more than 1000 meters of height difference and a length of 10 kilometers. The junior race saw as the leader the young Filippo Righi until the last descent until he was overthrown first from the team mate Antoniolo, then the French Xavier Gachet and finally the Swiss Randy Michaud. Robert Antonioli won the race thanks to his downhill skier skills, the Valtellina boy won with a time of 1 hour 16 minutes and 37 seconds, right behind Randy Michaud which had a splendid performance in the last 300 meters that saw him going from the fourth to the second place. The third place has been reached from the French Xavier Gachet. To mention the fourth and fifth place of Filippo righi and Michele Boscacci. In the female Junior category the first place has the French colors with Emile Favre and a time of 1 hour 39 minutes and 48 seconds, the silver medal goes to the Polish Anna Figura, another Polish won the bronze . The Italian Martina Valmassoi arrived on fifth place. In the cadets male category race the best time was of the Swiss Alan Tissieres that saw his gold medal taken away from a penalty of thirty seconds given for missing crampons in his backpack .The gold went then to the German Anton Palzer with the time of 1 hour 20 minutes and 21 seconds. On third position another Swiss Iwan Arnold. The swiss Jennifer Fiechter won the Cadets female category with the time of 1 hour 46 minutes and 49 seconds, second place For the Italian Alessandra Cazzanelli, the Norwegian Malene Haukoy won her second bronze medal. Tomorrow the Last day of the Championship which will end with the individual races, the French and Swiss team have spent the whole morning to check the tracks, the Italians will have to give their best to win the last titles of the championship.
